Jazz vs. Trailblazers…who would have known?

With the huge upset at home of the Trailblazers winning 97 – 89 over the Jazz, should we be seriously concerned about our Jazz? The Trailblazers should not have been a team that seemingly worked over the Jazz’s superior offense and power-hitting starters. How did they do it?….they wanted it. Let’s face it, the Jazz looked horrible last night. They gave up on driving it into the paint, yet their shots weren’t dropping (38% FG). The only players that seemed to want the win were Paul Milsap (Player of the game in my book), and Jason Hart….however, he couldn’t be consistent with his shot so it didn’t matter anyways. The point is, those two guys were the only two that got the crowd involved near the end of the game and gave them a chance.

I just don’t like the fact that the Jazz bench was able to get the 18 point lead down to 4, and then when the starters come back in they can’t close the gap and lead our team to a win AT HOME! I guess my comparison of the Jazz to Rosie O’Donnell in an earlier post is absolutely true, which also makes me sick.I must wonder if we might see Andrei Kirilinko in emotional situations this week that he cannot bear. At this point, I don’t know what else to say….someone please help the Jazz!

  1. It was a pretty pitiful showing for the Jazz, but at this point (we have now lost to Phoenix) the odds are starting to work in our favor. Is it possible to lose another one? We have a chance for redemption tomorrow night at Portland. The Blazers are not a worthy opponent for us and we went into the last game thinking that. Tomorrow night we will win. Boozer will have an above average game and score 30 points and Kirilenko will man up and have a good game as well.

  2. The jazz do this every year. They get into a slump that lasts for a week or so then they will blow a team out and move on. I feel that game is against the blazers. I think Williams and Boozer will both get on track and help pull the team out of this slum. And Millsap will just keep hustling and make it happen.
